I'm glad you can see them! It's one of r/anime's specialty and a treat for users with old reddit. They're called commentfaces, you can read up more about them and find the entire list with the link. There's an extension to help you easily use them too. Have fun!

Have you tried old reddit with the RES extension? I'm not a fan of the way comments appear without the extension, but the extension boosts readability significantly. I can't stand reddit's design without it.

Not a setting but RES plus old reddit is fantastic.

It's a giant step backwards in site design. Discuit wastes an incredible amount of screen space in making the site look pretty. Scroll down a bit and you'll see that more than half of your screen is empty and there is very little submissions displayed. Look at https://old.reddit.com/ and see the difference between the two. (Or add Reddit Enhancement Suite https://redditenhancementsuite.com/ for an even better experience), Old Reddit is vastly better. People are not using Discuit, likely as a result of the site design.

Use RES and filter by keyword.

We prefer platforms that are integrated to RES like Youtube, Souncloud, Bandcamp, ...
