Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Python library for simulating finite automata
I recommend looking at https://github.com/caleb531/automata which is another automata library in Python (also for pushdown automata, Turing machines) I've found useful in the past. One thing that wasn't so great about it was the assumption that states and symbols are Python strings. Using tuples mostly works, but sometimes it still breaks.
What are some alternatives?
transitions - A lightweight, object-oriented finite state machine implementation in Python with many extensions
visual-automata - Visual Automata is a Python 3 library built as a wrapper for the Automata library to add more visualization features.
kstatemachine - KStateMachine is a Kotlin DSL library for creating state machines and statecharts.
vim_turing_machine - An implementation of a Turing machine using only normal mode Vim commands
netzob - Netzob: Protocol Reverse Engineering, Modeling and Fuzzing
django-fsm - Django friendly finite state machine support
CXXAutomata - A C++ library for simulating automata and Turing machines
esphome-state-machine - ESPHome State Machine component
turing-machine - A Python program implementing and exploiting the Minsky Turing machine considered in the paper "Intrinsic Propensity for Vulnerability in Computers? Arbitrary Code Execution in the Universal Turing Machine" as per CVE-2021-32471 (https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2021-32471)
statetrooper - StateTrooper is a Go package that provides a finite state machine (FSM) for managing states. It allows you to define and enforce state transitions based on predefined rules.
automata-golf - A domain-specific language (DSL) for parsing regular, context-free and recursively enumerable languages.
