Python frontend with Zig backend
The other way around is also possible, importing Zig into Python, I have an example with C: https://github.com/metacall/python-c-io_uring-example
- Using io_uring from Python by JITing C code for writing high performance servers

Using io_uring from Python by JITing C code for writing high performance servers with MetaCall
We have recently implemented support for C language and as a demonstration, here's an example of using ui_uring from Python: GitHub Repository.

Python frontend with Zig backend
I am currently looking to write an GUI application with Python as a frontend and possibly Zig as a backend. I saw this Github repo. But is that the only way or are there other 'better' ways of using Python and Zig together?
What are some alternatives?
py-cryptonight - Python Cryptonight binding / extension. Monero hash function, proof-of-work, cn_slow_hash()
zig-example - Using Metacall as a C library from Zig, loading and running a CommonJS node module.
io_uring-echo-server - io_uring echo server
ziglings - Learn the Zig programming language by fixing tiny broken programs.
kcs - Scripting in C with JIT(x64)/VM.
bun - A fast all-in-one JavaScript runtime [Moved to: https://github.com/oven-sh/bun]
MoarVM - A VM with adaptive optimization and JIT compilation, built for Rakudo
ziggy-pydust - A toolkit for building Python extensions in Zig.
ravi - Ravi is a dialect of Lua, featuring limited optional static typing, JIT and AOT compilers
bun - Incredibly fast JavaScript runtime, bundler, test runner, and package manager – all in one
tinycc - Unofficial mirror of mob development branch
zig - General-purpose programming language and toolchain for maintaining robust, optimal, and reusable software.
