py2exe VS CustomTkinter

There are ways to bundle Python with your application using something like py2exe

Then you can turn the python program to an actual executable, a normal .exe file that user just launches and uses. If you chose to use this way, look into PyInstaller or py2exe. The executables will be obviously bigger, I think at least PyInstaller pretty much just packages Python and your script into .exe to make it work, so every program would be quite big (as each program has its own Python packaged). I also heard the process of turning the scripts to .exe is sometimes a bit problematic if you use some fancy imports and you also might run into problems with architecture.

I like CustomTkinter. A UI library based on Tkinter, so you can also use Tkinter along with it.

All tkinter widgets with exceptio of Canvas are currently supported and ttk themed widgets used whenever possible. I plan to add support CustomTkinter eventually.

both custom tkinter and pyqt5 have somewhat "modern" looks.

If you go for tkinter, I recommend you use CustomTkinter instead. It looks much nicer with no extra effort

New GUI based on the splendid work of customtkinter: it is now possible to select files via a "Select files" button instead of the Drag&Drop function that presented several problems this new library allows for much more organized and optimized code the new interface is fully resizable and so adaptable to any screen the new interface also allows more space to add new widgets (in the future) to customize the upscale operations

Well, as I mentioned, customtkinter makes that fairly easy.
