Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

First rust project: a weather data exporter for prometheus
Here it is: https://github.com/lstrojny/prometheus-weathermen
-
Prometheus Weathermen - a weather data exporter
This could have been done with 20 lines of python, node exporter and a textfile but I finally found a good excuse to do some Rust for real so here it is, a weather data exporter written in Rust supporting a few APIs: https://github.com/lstrojny/prometheus-weathermen

Receiving Weather Satellite Images Using SatDump
GOES sats are geostationary but the NOAA APT satellites are encircling the planet and you can pick them up. Old tutorial but still relevant, just use "noaa-apt" tool[0] instead of WXtoImg. https://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-tutorial-receiving-noaa-weat...

- Hi 2
- SDR# and NOAA Satellites
- Made a very simple 137 MHz dipole V antenna, made out of copper brazing rods and a terminal block and this is the first picture of NOAA 18 I got from it, also it picks up 250 MHz Satcom pirate transmissions rather well. Much better than my pa0rdt antenna which adds a bunch of noise!
-
Why the image is so small?
Sometimes WXtoIMG just discards parts of the recoding when the signal wasn't strong enough. In those cases I've had some luck running the recorded .wav file through noaa-apt to get the full image.
-
Images pulled with RTL-SDR antenna NOAA
so the NOAA_APT decoder link on your guide did not work properly, By chance did you mean this link https://noaa-apt.mbernardi.com.ar/?
-
At least as long as they're not using the dev container...
So far I only use it for noaa-apt program though.
-
WXtoImg not decoding images
Had this exact problem, the thing that I found is that GQRX records at the wrong sample rate, which WXtoImg can’t handle. However, https://noaa-apt.mbernardi.com.ar this utility did work for me. I’ll also note that WFM is the setting I use in GQRX, not AM

Does anyone know whats happening here?
You should try noaa-apt too, it usually gives better results for me.
- Converting audio from NOAA passover to image using macOS?
What are some alternatives?
SatDump - A generic satellite data processing software.
sdrangel - SDR Rx/Tx software for Airspy, Airspy HF+, BladeRF, HackRF, LimeSDR, PlutoSDR, RTL-SDR, SDRplay RSP1 and FunCube
gnuradio - GNU Radio – the Free and Open Software Radio Ecosystem
SDRPlusPlus - Cross-Platform SDR Software
shairport-sync - AirPlay and AirPlay 2 audio player
multimon-ng
gpredict - Gpredict satellite tracking application
lysmarine_gen - With BBN OS you can build a central boat computer. BBN OS is free and open source. It is based on commonly used community supported open source projects such as SignalK, PyPilot, OpenCPN, and others. BBN OS graphical user interface will let you build a cockpit front-end to all functionality of the OS from chartplotting, dashboards, weather, etc.
rtl-power-fftw - Power spectrum for RTLSDR dongles.
Grafana - The open and composable observability and data visualization platform. Visualize metrics, logs, and traces from multiple sources like Prometheus, Loki, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, Postgres and many more.
SdrGlut - SdrGlut is a simple software defined radio - using glut and glui for its interface
rtl_433 - Program to decode radio transmissions from devices on the ISM bands (and other frequencies)
