Lightweight dev tools.
This is already a bit of a change because when I'm not using the MacBook Pro, I am using my desktop which has Pop!_OS 22.04 installed.

Do you think Pop!_OS should be re-named to "Cosmic" when the new DE comes out?
"Cosmic OS" still fits in perfectly with the existing space-themed marketing imagery on https://pop.system76.com/

Suggestion: When COSMIC is ready, maybe base it on Debian stable and ditch Ubuntu and Pop OS name?
/u/ahoneybun if you are reading this, it's not too late for you to convince the System76 higher ups to change the marketing to say that Pop! was just the 1st iteration of System76's OS (since Pop! means something coming into being like the universe) and Cosmic OS is the 2nd iteration, the Cosmos as they are after the "Pop!" and have now become something of its own like the new DE. Even your homepage, https://pop.system76.com/ could easily be changed to https://cosmic.system76.com/

`Nano`sphere
So, yeah, no .deb file, no curl/wget, no apt repository that they maintain. OK, cool π no problem. I'll keep looking on Ubuntu side to see if Ubuntu has something π you know. I could see that GNU Aspel's appendix does seem to have a recipe for how to make it myself if I wanted to go that route, as I pointed out earlier, however, since I have Ubuntu, I kept stomping the pavement and then it happened, I was able to find sudo apt -y install aspell aspell-en instead ππ

Installing packages without networking (there's a reason)
I have corrupted and had to reinstall 4 times in my quest to get drivers for this device. Whenever I reinstall, I am missing basic packages like make, gcc, binutils, and dozens of libraries that they depend on. There are three options for a driver, either the rtl8812au driver on the ubuntu.com archives (supposed to work with 8821 models as well), the aircrack-ng driver, and the morronwr driver. The first two need dkms, which needs gcc and make, and the last just needs gcc and make regardless.
