`Nano`sphere
So, yeah, no .deb file, no curl/wget, no apt repository that they maintain. OK, cool 😎 no problem. I'll keep looking on Ubuntu side to see if Ubuntu has something 😁 you know. I could see that GNU Aspel's appendix does seem to have a recipe for how to make it myself if I wanted to go that route, as I pointed out earlier, however, since I have Ubuntu, I kept stomping the pavement and then it happened, I was able to find sudo apt -y install aspell aspell-en instead 😊🙌

How to rescue an encrypted LUKS partition that was partially modified by a Windows tool?
The Linux installation is/was Ubuntu with an encrypted LUKS partition and before applying a week-old backup I thought that there might be a change of rescuing some data.

Installing packages without networking (there's a reason)
I have corrupted and had to reinstall 4 times in my quest to get drivers for this device. Whenever I reinstall, I am missing basic packages like make, gcc, binutils, and dozens of libraries that they depend on. There are three options for a driver, either the rtl8812au driver on the ubuntu.com archives (supposed to work with 8821 models as well), the aircrack-ng driver, and the morronwr driver. The first two need dkms, which needs gcc and make, and the last just needs gcc and make regardless.

Pixel 8 Pro
DivestOS is my project.
Here are the nearly 200 kernel CVE patches applied on top of what Lineage provides for Pixel 2 series: https://gitlab.com/divested-mobile/divestos-build/-/blob/mas...
Plus it just provides updates quicker, such as the recent WebP CVE was first fixed in DivestOS before other aftermarket systems. https://divestos.org/pages/news
And provides rapid out-of-band WebView updates: https://divestos.org/misc/ch-dates.txt
See my other notes here: https://divestos.org/pages/patch_levels#osSecurity

I'm pretty sure my DivestOS is far more free than Lineage and still completely usable: - https://divestos.org/pages/network_connections - https://gitlab.com/divested-mobile/divestos-build/-/blob/master/Scripts/Common/Deblob.sh

Show HN: DivestOS, long term support for end-of-life Android devices
hammerhead died on 15.1 because no one could get Bluetooth to reliably work on later versions.
The support is in the form of all the features, the (system) updates, and kernel patches like this: https://gitlab.com/divested-mobile/divestos-build/-/blob/mas...

LineageOS or hardened, debloated stock Android?
