The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

ECS: Rules, dos and don'ts and best practices for Systems
For a simpler example, check out the particle demo here. This is really only two systems - one for movement and one for calculating force as distance from the mouse (the 3rd system is just for colouring). The rest of the code is creating textures and other setup. For something even simpler, have a look at this simple physics example.

NimConf 2022 – Nim Online Conference
- Ryan will talk more about his incredible and frugal Entity Component System https://github.com/rlipsc/polymorph He did present on this topic in February but it seems it has progressed much and we might be seeing some very cool demonstration (that's speculation from thumbnail...)

ECS: Rules, dos and don'ts and best practices for Systems
My ECS is written in Nim but you might find the demo game for it instructive. It's a 2D top down shooter, and looks like this when run.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing polymorph and polymers you can also consider the following projects:
Curios - Minecraft Mod: A flexible and expandable accessory/equipment API for users and developers.
ATM-6 - All the Mods 6 - 1.16.5
JustEnoughItems - Item and Recipe viewing mod for Minecraft
exprgrad - An experimental deep learning framework for Nim based on a differentiable array programming language
nim-sos - Nim wrapper for Sandia-OpenSHMEM
nim-drchaos - A powerful and easy-to-use fuzzing framework in Nim for C/C++/Obj-C targets
menucompanions - Cute little mobs to fill the emptiness of the main menu.
moe - A command line based editor inspired by Vim. Written in Nim.
