Background primarily in economics, with 3 years of general programming experience. Significant work experience in finance/policy, decided in the past year to go towards data and software.
Recently left a role where I was responsible, solely, for designing and implementing a production scheduler for an industrial client in Gurobi. Also designed the backend of a demand forecasting platform, using Amazon's GluonTS, from scratch.
Currently working on https://github.com/PolicyEngine/openfisca-us in my free time, helping to research and design a comprehensive tax and benefit simulation for policymakers that doubles as an eligibility calculator.

This WASM build now powers https://taxsim.app, which is my attempt to create an interactive UI to allow for easier exploration of the US tax code. Specific tax scenarios can also be shared easily, by simply copying the browser URL. The code for this webapp is also open-source [6].
