Secondly, I would also like to install another OS - at least https://docs.pikvm.org/flashing_os/ (because I bought this https://github.com/ThomasVon2021/pikvm-board ) - I suppose I can have a boot-menu to select which partition to boot from, right? On a normal linux pc I should choose between UEFI vs BIOS boot. I assume I can also get something like a grub boot menu with automatic timeout (default boot method)?

BliKVM PCIe puts a computer in your computer
I was actually thinking of an old post on this subreddit when I suggested the idea of a PCIe PiKVM product to blicube.

[FS][US-RI]BliKVM (PiKVM variation), and two Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4s. All brand new.
You can read specifically about the BliKVM at the git repo (LINK). Thereβs also a discord server thatβs pretty active. And here is a link to a pretty good YouTube video that reviews it.
What are some alternatives?
blikvm - Open and cost-effective "KVM-over-IP". BliKVM comes in 4 different models, v1 CM4, v2 PCIe, v3 HAT and v4 Allwinner, based on Raspberry Pi and Allwinner SoC.
mousejiggler - Mouse Jiggler is a very simple piece of software whose sole function is to "fake" mouse input to Windows, and jiggle the mouse pointer back and forth.
