pihole-faucetads VS youtube_ad_blocklist

Just like my previous blocklist, I will try my best to review community contributions, but I don't have any plans to be too active with maintaining it and don't intend to compete with other lists or be the biggest/most complete list out there.

but the list got so long it was unmaintainable and even a REGEX stack struggled to split it from the actual video servers and led to programs being created to try to manage the mess (e.g. this closed one had 9000+ entries).

This did solve the problem. I found this and after applying that i'm not getting any pre-video ads at least, but banner ads still show up.

I don't know how to add it to ControlD but pasting https://github.com/Ewpratten/youtube_ad_blocklist/blob/master/blocklist.txt into my browser filter lists does seem to block Youtube ads quite well.

Alternately, using YouTube in a browser with the oisd blocklist and this dedicated youtube ads blocklist should block most ads, but it won’t be reliable.
