I think your only option will be to stay on 14.3 or update to latest ios 16.4.1. Since the iPhone X has an A11 processor it should be vulnerable to palra1n: https://github.com/palera1n/palera1n

It should work if dependencies are installed and if you have a usb c to an adapter, and then a usb a to lightning cable. Use palera1n for the 6s and checkp4le for the 7. A guide can be found here for both of them. If you need help, feel free to ask in the palera1n discord.

A10(X) has a SEP exploit that can fix passcode. checkra1n already uses this, and as for palera1n, a fix is coming soon to the main branch. (It's already implemented in some unofficial and work-in-progress official versions, and the official palera1n Discord server suggests the fork https://github.com/guacaplushy/checkp4le to use palera1n with passcode and Touch ID on A10)
