Is it possible to install Oversteer on Batocera and access the settings using the F1 menu?

Why does the Steam Deck run Linux? Blame Windows
What force feedback wheel are we talking about? Some are supported in the kernel and some have drivers on github. More info here.

is Thrustmaster T128 supported?
A good place to look at is the oversteer github. It seems generally its only Logitech wheels which have good support on linux. Certain Thrustmaster and Fanatec wheels seem to work at least to some degree. However the t128 in particular is not mentioned anywhere

Guys can I connect directly steering wheel like Logitech g923 and shifter to the steam deck ?
Oversteer, it's a Linux program which lets you use wheels. https://github.com/berarma/oversteer

Gamer thinking of swapping to Linux, have some compatibility concerns.
For the wheel, I have a G29 which works without any issue. Rotation and FFB gain is customizable easily with oversteer which support G27 as well.

Steamdeck
Unsure how easy to setup extra linux apps on SteamDeck, but this is one tool for FFB in linux : https://github.com/berarma/oversteer

Wheel FFB
there's oversteer: https://github.com/berarma/oversteer which says it works with your wheel once you also add this module: https://github.com/gotzl/hid-fanatecff

No space, so I installed my rig on my window! (details on comments)
I play Automobilista2, Dirt Rally 2.0, Dirt4, Dirt3, AC, BeamNG.drive . I use the hid-tmff2 wheel driver (dkms module). Protopedal script for pedal/device emulation. Or sometimes xboxdrv if protopedal doesn't fit my use case perfectly. Everything works fine(tm) but of course as is the Linux way, things do need fiddling sometimes. But I like the learning experience and treat it more like an additional hobby.

Does https://github.com/Kimplul/hid-tmff2 suppoprt the Thrustmaster T300 RS GT ?
My question is pretty much the title. Its obvious that https://github.com/Kimplul/hid-tmff2 supports the Thrustmasrter T300 RS but I am not sure about the GT version.

Are there currently any Direct Drive racing wheels for driving sim/gaming available that work on Linux?
Not completely true. There exists a driver for Thrustmaster T300: https://github.com/Kimplul/hid-tmff2 Other wheels I also have seen supported are some fanatec wheels: https://github.com/gotzl/hid-fanatecff

Interest in a Thrustmaster TMX Racing Wheel driver?
There are a Linux module driver for this Wheel (and others). You can find it here: https://github.com/Kimplul/hid-tmff2

How's T300RS on Linux currently?
I tried ACC and Raceroom on Linux (Manjaro)with the T300 am hid-tmff2 Module. ACC worked fine, but at first was having problems with the Wheel profiles. Had copied the Game settings from Windows, but after deleting everything and creating a new profile it was fine. Raceroom has a problem with the T300, Game starts fine but the Wheel pulls to the right and it's not drivable. Only without FFB. https://github.com/Kimplul/hid-tmff2/issues/39
