I've written a function (FocusApp) that sets focus on a running app in my script before. By using it your code would be like this:

Outlook doesn't seem to show the envelope icon notifications for folders other than your default Inbox. I made an app and am using it as a workaround for this issue. It adds an icon to your taskbar, monitors a folder and shows an unread count of that folder.

In this article I showed my process where I found an issue, came up with an idea and made a small app that meets my needs. I added some customizability to the app and made it public so check out the repository here if you are interested. Hope this article sparks someone's interest.

A couple of plotting managers have a Replot feature which basically deletes the a plot once a new plot process is at the end of phase 3 or beginning of phase 4, so you are deleting plots minutes before new ones are made to replace them. The plotting manager I wrote PSChiaPlotter and another Ploto both have this feature. The other more popular plotting managers could have this feature as well, I just haven't checked.
