The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

org-auctex: Async LaTeX preview support for Org-mode using AucTeX. Mostly deprecated since Org is getting a new async LaTeX preview system.

What LaTeX setup do you use?
xenops looks quite interesting, I hadn't seen it before. I do also render my LaTeX maths in org, though with org-auctex instead of the default org-latex-preview (much faster!). The workflow is mostly that I write some maths inline to org, not inside of any source block—much less noise. When I'm done with a particular piece of code, I simply rerender the whole buffer; org-auctex is fast enough so that this doesn't take very long, even in dense org documents. The SVGs are automatically unprettified whenever you are inside them, so editing is seamless.

What programs do you use for quick math note editing? (Looking for TeXmacs alternatives ...)
You can use most of the functionality of that blog post inside of Org. Things like cdlatex even have a special org-cdlatex-mode in order to be as unintrusive as possible, and for fast previews there is org-auctex (from the same author as the above post). Certainly things like autoexpanding snippets and other goodies work without a problem in Org.

My PhD Research Workflow—Emacs Inside
Just a note that latex preview support for non-file-associated buffers (including elfeed/shr buffers) is still planned for org-auctex. (Time for Emacs has been really scant this year!)

Are we living in the golden age of Emacs?
For smoother latex previews in org you can try org-auctex. It's not done yet but I find it to be a big improvement.

AUCTeX like editor features in OrgMode
For entering LaTeX commands in formulas I use Carsten Dominik's cdlatex. I don't just use it in Org Mode, but in AUCTeX too.
