You also want to try and follow the process for a "text" ordinal and do a test mint to confirm the BRC-20 indexers are properly interpreting the output of your Ord terminal as BRC-20 tokens. Use a service like https://ordinalsbot.com/ or you can use the Official "Ord" Ordinal Protocol here: https://github.com/ordinals/ord You will have to download a full bitcoin node, install ord, and then inscribe using commands in a command line environment. All you have to do is provide a file and send bitcoin to these services via lightning (or without lightning) and Ordinals Bot will inscribe directly onto the Bitcoin blockchain, use ordinals.com to verify you are a real ordinal indexed by "Ord".

Apparently, you'll need to sync a full node, and to compile and run this strange program that'll talk to your full node to figure out the rarity of whatever's in your wallet.

Arweave is better suited to archival storage. There are options for participants to ban particular types of content which may be illegal to host in their jurisdiction. This was designed to prevent the spread of CP, terrorism related info, etc. but that means it is also susceptible to DCMA issues too.
