openmtp VS Scroll-Reverser

For those on MacOS, you can use a free tool called OpenMTP to do any type of file transfer from your MacOS to Xreal Beam. Supports multiple transfer of APK files. Feel free to give this a try if you prefer downloading all your APK packages to your Mac and transferring them in one go to your Beam. Have fun!

TL;DR - Uninstall Android File Transfer (software hasn't seen an update since 2018), and switch to OpenMTP.

That said, Google's "Android File Transfer" app is not the only app which supports MTP on MacOS. People say good things about OpenMTP but I don't have personal experience with it: https://openmtp.ganeshrvel.com/

I'm using VLC. To transfer the files on to the device I use OpenMTP.

For media, you will need to transfer stuff on an intermediate device via mtp. For Mac you have open mtp https://openmtp.ganeshrvel.com. Linux should support this natively. No idea for Windows.

Normal mice support is deliberately broken in macOS (so that you consider buying their Magic Mouse), but can be easily fixed with a 3rd party app like Scroll Reverser.

The Scroll Reverser app lets you reverse scrolling for mice while keeping natural scrolling for touchpads.

Mouse: I believe this requires 3rd party app, if there is MacOS option for that please enlighten me, I have a Logitech mouse and Logitech software has settings for that but there are other, non-brand specific tools e.g. scroll-reverser (available in brew or here), which BTW can also change behavior of the trackpad if you want those options modified in one place.

Agree on the scroll direction thing (though scroll reverser exists)

The sheer fucking arrogance of them telling the consumer which direction they're allowed to scroll their device is why the only Apple product I own is the company-provided Mac which I installed https://github.com/pilotmoon/Scroll-Reverser on to let me use the way I want to use it.
