Finished my build - Please criticise it.
With DDR5, you can tell a kit is hynix a-die if its xmp settings are >6600MHz (but I believe it is still possible that you get m-die). Witth DDR4 you have to look at the subtimings. If a kit has tight subtimings like 3200MHz CL14-14-14-34 @ 1.35V or 4000MHz CL19-19-19-39 @ 1.45V then it is guaranteed b-die. Also for b-die, there is this quite useful web app: https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/

There's loads of cheaper b-die, though not sure if your region has most common options, see here: https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/

Is G-Skill Trident Z 4000 Mhz CL18 (F4-4000C18D-32GTZR) B-die?
Check the part number against the database here.

XMP Profile is causing display driver timeouts
XMP is not guaranteed to give you stable settings, it only sets the primary timings and voltages the rest are set by the motherboard. If that kit is not on the boards QVL it may be setting timings that C die can not handle. I doubt you have B die there are no 3600 C 18 kits listed on https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/

32GB DDR4 B-Die kits. Do they still exist?
I have been looking for an 32GB stick or an 2*32GB kit. One of my friends linked me to Benzhaomin's bdiefinder. After inputting the needed details the "only" kit to "still exist" was "G.SKILL GSkill 64GB (2KIT) 3200M TridZ DDR4 RGB DC" F4-3200C14D-64GTZDC . Unfortunetly it is out of my price range as the price listed on the website is 2113,77€/kit (includes VAT 24%) at the time of writing this post.

Best timing/speed for 5800x3D
There is this tool used for finding Samsung B-die, which also lists rank. It's the only database I know of that has rank listed.

Best RAM for Ryzen 5900x?
Also, for your title question: try to grab some Samsung B-die set to 3600Mhz. That's the de facto standard for fast memory as AM4 comes to a close.

looking to upgrade my desktop any tips?
I'd specifically look for this set, G.Skill Trident Z F4-3200C16D-32GTZA. I pulled this from the DDR4 B-Die finder https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/. I used this back when I was on AM4 and Samsung B-die were generally the best you could get if you want tighter timings, stability, voltages. If you have a Microcenter near you you can find them for $90.
