blockchain usages
There is usually no point to using a distinct blockchain as well as one can use a secure blockchain like Bitcoin without the need of inefficiently replicating all its work and security and timestamp with https://opentimestamps.org/ or http://coloredcoins.org/ or creating assets with https://www.omnilayer.org/ or https://github.com/rgb-org/spec or https://blockstream.com/2018/07/02/liquid-issued-assets/ without the need for any distinct blockchain and the overhead this requires.

I heard LTC has Smart Contracts now. Is any comparison to their system and SmartBCH available?
Perhaps you could ask on the litecoin sub? From the name I guess it is similar to https://www.omnilayer.org/ which exists on BTC and which is used to send USDT over the BTC network. If that is all, it would allow you to add a bit of information to a LTC transaction. Possibly it is more.

The blockchain scripting wars are over. Bitcoin has won.
Concerning the ability of running tokens ("colored coins") on the Bitcoin network, such as for example USDT, and referencing those, the omnilayer system encodes all of that in terms of the normal Bitcoin scripting language: https://www.omnilayer.org. I remember reading a bit in its documentation a few years ago, but I don't remember any details. Omnilayer undoubtedly also has a system to reference its objects, but I have no clue how.

SLP tokens on BTC chain?
Tokens exist on BTC, and they are just as expensive to move around as BTC itself. Most well known token is probably tether. See https://www.omnilayer.org/

Omnilite node?
An omnilite node is like a regular litecoin node but it also listens for omni transactions so it would work for mining since it listens for normal litecoin transactions too. Here's the download link for the omni node. I'm sorry I can't help more. https://github.com/OmniLite/omnilite/releases/tag/v0.18.1
