Using viz libraries with SSAS tabular sources
Just starting to experiment with Altair viz for creating visualizations but haven't connected to an xmla/olap source yet. This would be my starting point if I were so inclined.

So you could use https://github.com/mike-eason/oledb to connect and read DAX queries out of your tabular model and just populate your visuals from there.
