Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Blocky – a DNS proxy and ad-blocker for the local network
I’ve been using https://oisd.nl/ on my network for some time (just cronned into an unbound config file) and nothing breaks.
If you report a website breaking to the maintainer, he removes the offending block.
Works well, I can recommend it.
And it reminds my to send them a little money in thanks.

Runs on your OpenWrt box: AdGuard Home is network-wide blocking ads and tracking
It entirely depends on which blocklist(s) you use. I had to stop using the StevenBlack list because it started breaking a lot of things, apparently intentionally.
I switched to the https://oisd.nl Big List, which has been great... although it did break GitHub yesterday. That was the first breakage since I switched, and it was fixed when I reported. But still, keeping an eye on it.

DNSBL wildcard list support
The format/function is supported in Unbound DNS (Link to Unbound blocklist) according to oisd.nl.

The main difference is that OISD is a source list in Normal and not in Light.

What is the best blocklists/ blocklists you are using?
I have been using OISD which is a list-of-lists that focuses on blocking the most possible without breaking things: https://oisd.nl/

Does PiHole block porn?
Sure, use those blocklists from https://firebog.net/
-
Where do you all get your DNS block lists from? Is there a public forum that has a list of them?
I am currently aware of firebog.net, but don't know if there are any other public forums/collections that are dedicated to this. I was hoping to contribute my personally made DNS block list for the public to use, if desired.

Pi-Hole vs Adguard Home.
I run Raspian on 2 PiHoles for myself and administer for friends (each running 2 PiHoles) on Libre Le Potatos (2Gb). The effectiveness you get will be from the block lists you choose. I chose which lists to use from Firebog. I also suggest running 2 PiHoles, because if DNS goes down your not gonna internet anything! My personal experience also shows it's not always quick and easy to recognize your DNS is not working, I find it's easier to update each when I want.

I thought PiHole was supposed to be invisible to websites?
Admittedly I am brand new to PiHole. I bought a raspberry pi, imaged the flash drive, ran the PiHole instal script and set some additional block lists from this list https://firebog.net/, set my DHCP server to give out PiHole as my address and haven’t thought much else about it.

How many is too many?
I've loaded up several lists from firebog.net, and I noticed at least two with 500k+ entries. I've not noticed any issues and load on my pihole VM on TrueNAS allocated with a single core and 1GB of ram from an N6005, I'm still wondering if this could cause me issues in the future.

UDM SE br0 not using Pihole
Have you added much to your adlists in PiHole? A great resource for adlists is https://firebog.net/
- Blocking percentage is relatively low. Is it same for everyone or am i missing something?

Securing your network
That list is a start, but it's nowhere near comprehensive enough for a device touting security as it's main asset and not even comparable to this: https://firebog.net/. That list is just one of many curated and fairly comprehensive lists of lists for PiHole blocking.. Furthermore the block lists are even the same format as the list you posted. All deeper needs to do is provide users with unlimited blocking entries and a way to import and maintain the lists.

DNS server set to Pihole but no traffic
For lists, I would recommend going through the Firebog and choosing a few green lists from each category, then seeing how everything feels for a week or two. Generally once you have a few solid lists, you’re better off finding the domains of ads that are still showing up and blocking them individually. After a certain point, adding more lists just unnecessarily increases the size of your gravity database and is more likely to cause false positives, leading to issues on certain sites. I’ve got 14 lists set up, mostly from Firebog, and that seems to be a good balance for my household’s purposes.
