  • Reader + Obsidian: Integration Clarification

Reader has no support for passing the complete content to Obsidian. Consider a community plugin for RSS: https://github.com/joethei/obsidian-rss For the few newsletters that do not support rss there are plugins that let you download pages as markdown (though they donโ€™t always work that well): https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/markdownload-markdown-web/pcmpcfapbekmbjjkdalcgopdkipoggdi?hl=en-GB

  • Import newsletter as notes
    1 project | /r/ObsidianMD | 11 Feb 2022
You can use RSS Obsidian to follow your newsletter and save them as notes. Or you can use the browser-plugin MarkDownload to manually download the newsletter into your vault. You could also automate this by importing your Substack-RSS-Feed into the bookmarking service pinboard via a IFTTT-applet and then automatically importing your pinboard links into your daily notes via the plugin pinboard synch, but that would just create a link to your substack, not a note, so forget that. I'd go with the RSS-Reader and also use it for other feeds.
