Using output of command with pipes
Currently I am as far as using curl -s https://api.github.com/repos/author/repo/releases/latest | jq -r ".assets[0] | .browser_download_url" which outputshttps://github.com/author/repo/releases/download/vTag/latestrelease-xyz-abc.zip`. Any ideas on how to download the contents of the url?

Using obs_scm to automatically download the latest release tarball from Github
I'm maintaining a package whose source code is hosted on Github. It is updated fairly regularly. Every time the package maintainer releases a version, they create a new Git tag with the new version number (e.g. v3.1.3). With this tag then manually go to https://github.com/author/repo/archive/refs/tags/v$VERSION.tar.gz#/name-%$VERSION.tar.gz to download the newest release tarball, put it into my local repository, update the version in the spec file, and then commit the result if it builds OK.
