What is the longest word you could spell riding the subway?
The hardest part is pulling the info about which stations offer which transfers; luckily, someone did that hard work already. Only needed to download a plaintext dictionary file, and write ~70 lines of Python to make this work.
- I made a clean MTA subway app for iPhone and Android

Just finished my DIY pixel-perfect countdown clock replica!
Thank you so much for this. I've been toying with a similar idea but was relying on a simplified version of MTAPI that shows all trains to specific stations. and then parsing the json data

This is a sign my wife and I made that we use to perfectly time the train. What do you think?
here’s a flask (python) server that communicates w/ the MTA API. Or you can run a script like this arrival notify (python).
What are some alternatives?
pooch - A friend to fetch your data files
nyc-mta-arrival-notify - A basic python script that reads the NYC MTA realtime feed API for subway data and outputs when the next arrival is for a given station.
nyc-infosec - Mapping the NYC Infosec Community
wetterdienst - Open weather data for humans.
underground - Utilities for NYC's realtime MTA data feeds.
docassemble-HousingCodeChecklist - UpToCode - Form tool for tenants to get help with housing conditions issues.
subwayclock - Display clock for NYC subways
pgcli - Postgres CLI with autocompletion and syntax highlighting
mtaNextTrain - iOS App visualizing train arrival times across all stations throughout the NYC Subway System
PyPika - PyPika is a python SQL query builder that exposes the full richness of the SQL language using a syntax that reflects the resulting query. PyPika excels at all sorts of SQL queries but is especially useful for data analysis.
mtaNextTrain-REST-API - RESTful API to provide Realtime Subway Train Arrival Data from NYC MTA Realtime Feeds
