My One Complaint still stands in 42
You can find this in this github repo - https://github.com/nwg-piotr/nwg-launchers

How are you configuring touchpad gestures?
Sure thing! appgrid.sh is just a single command calling nwggrid from nwg launchers, a series of graphical shell tools for sway. It was originally started in C++ but the author started the project again in Go.

GNOME-style Application menu for other DE's?
Maybe nwg-launchers could work.
-
nwg-dock 0.0.1 ready for testing
This is the last (at least for now) missing part of nwg-shell for sway: autotiling, Azote, nwg-launchers, nwg-panel and nwg-dock.

Manjaro Sway Edition
Just installed it, still looking around. I can make a suggestion that could horrify some (but be a nice possibility with very little added space), make a keybind (I use super+m (you know menu)) for nwg-launchers (https://github.com/nwg-piotr/nwg-launchers). Nice overlay menu much like the gnome menu. Yes I know...we have dmenu/rofi/etc. But I just found this and it looks surprising on sway (lol). It's on the AUR. Both the grid and the bar look good, there's also his custom dmenu app.

XMonad – The Automated Tiling WM
i3 has manual tiling by choice and it isn't necessary to port automatic tiling to i3 itself. You can make a service that utilizes i3's IPC that does that. And of course people have done so[1][2].

What are your favorite ways to improve your I3 WM experience that other people should try out?
I prefer i3 to any other twm, but the lack of any automatic layout drives me nuts, so I use https://github.com/olemartinorg/i3-alternating-layout in my autostarts

nwg-dock 0.0.1 ready for testing
The original concept comes from https://github.com/olemartinorg/i3-alternating-layout. I only wrote a script capable of working on both i3 and sway.
