My Asus Strix AE is always using like 20w of power on battery mode. I think it should be more like 8-10w. What's up?
Your dedicated GPU is probably on. Use this app to identify apps running on it and kill them: https://github.com/eduojeda/nvidia-optimus-kill. And try limiting the clock speed, turbo clocks are exponentially less energy efficient

Not correctly switching between iGPU and discrete gpu
Sometimes, certain application uses dGPU so MUX Switch/Nvidia has problem switching. By resetting the graphic card [WIN+Ctrl+Shift+B] or using nvidia-optimus-kill [https://github.com/eduojeda/nvidia-optimus-kill], you'll be able to close the applications using dGPU and make sure it properly switches. I use this, but it doesn't always switch as intended.

Legion 7i battery life. Need help!
Then in Nvidia Control Panel, click Desktop > Display GPU activity in the notification area . This adds a small icon in the bottom right of the desktop. If anything appears in the icon's list, the Nvidia GPU won't be able to sleep. Follow these instructions to get those apps running on the AMD GPU. You could also try Optimus Kill, though I've had mixed success with it.
