Announcing Nextcloud Hub 3 – Brand New Design and Photos 2.0 with Editor and AI
They started doing that where it matters in 24. See, for example, https://github.com/nextcloud/notify_push

Any better alternative of Nextcloud?
They call it High Performance Backend for Files but all I can find is one repo on github with Rust called notify_push. But it's just a push notification server to off load clients periodic checking for updates against nc server.

I would love more information about this. Nextcloud being slow as hell is my biggest problem with it. Personally I always blamed it on PHP. The new Rust backend was promising but it doesn't support Docker deployments.

Nextcloud with HPB docker-compose example
I couldn't use the systemd instructions in https://github.com/nextcloud/notify_push as I use docker-compose. So had to work out how to get it to work.

Nextcloud Hub 21 out with up to 10x better performance, whiteboard and more collaboration features
1) While it's described in glowing terms in the release notes, the instructions are unclear. I performed a manual update to 21 by changing my docker-compose tag to pull nextcloud:21-apache which went fine 2) Excited to use this new storage backend, I went to the repo to find the setup instructions. Hot tip: the app is called "client push;" not, as the instructions state, "notify_push" 3) Cool cool so I've got the app installed, now I just need to run occ notify_push:setup in my app container to set it up, right? Wrong:

Announcing Nextcloud Hub 3 – Brand New Design and Photos 2.0 with Editor and AI
One thing I didn't mention that AIO includes is a container called imaginary which is written in Go and processes images. I think this is mainly used here for generating image previews in NC.
