Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Help me understand the archlinux GUI stack
notify-send : I use this to send notifications when I change audio or brightness. With this notify-send https://github.com/vlevit/notify-send.sh/blob/master/notify-send.sh , you can actually overwrite your existing notification, so that it doesn't spam you with lots of different notifications every time the values change. Original notify-send from repos do not have this ability.
