As has been said, K/s is an indication of transfer speed, and the default SLSK client does not keep track of transferred data for you. However, as there's never a bad time for a Nicotine+ plug, that does keep such stats, both for session and total transfer.

I don't know about Ventura, but why not give Nicotine+ a go. :)

Please be careful, there are some fake versions of the slsk client out there and they are confirmed malware. The official Soulseek website is http://www.slsknet.org/. There was a previous domain, but Nir (slsk's founder) lost control of it many years ago. I suggest you download a version of the client from this page or better yet download a copy of the third party client Nicotine+. N+ is updated far more regularly than the official slsk client (now 2+ years out of date), is less resource intensive and has better features.

The Nicotine+ repository has the most up to date protocol documentation here. This was originally documented in a couple of places but hadn't been updated in a long time.

Just wanted to make a post on here for anyone who needs it, spotDL is probably the best option currently for downloading music with all the tagged data including lyrics, artist, album art, etc. directly from spotify but rips the audio from Youtube. It also has the capability to download entire albums and playlists from giving it a link. It requires a bit of set up but it's completely worth it! this is cool and all but I already use a tool called spotDL. Is there any benefit to this over that?
