How Do You Receive Input?
There are more unofficial libraries like Pycord or Nextcord, but I would just go with an officially vetted one because they're more trustworthy. I think discord.py is the most popular, but it's not in development anymore.

Discord bot in python?
There are at the moment, two major forks of dpy. One being Pycord and the other being Nextcord both of these are maintained and supports slash commands and button interactions.

Wouldn't it be extremely useful to have a discord bot that tells you which creation club mod is free or is discounted?

I think discord-ui supports nextcord but it's currently only supported in the preview version, so you need to install it from git (pip install git+https://github.com/discord-py-ui/discord-ui.git@preview)
