How to make a page as the new tab page
You'll have to use an extension: (firefox) (chromium)
- addon to display all bookmarks on new tab.
- Where is about:newtab stored on Linux so i can symlink it to my custom page. Are there any better alternatives?

A double-sided themed home page
In firefox with this extension and paste the url(I reccomend to select the focus option) and going to Settings >Home > New Windows and Tabs and select custom url and you paste the url.

You are probably better of with a custom new tab page extension which there are plenty of on AMO, New Tab Override for example has a lot of options among them the option to use a local HTML file.

Another option is to create and electron app which will open your site, for tabs you can use this: https://github.com/brrd/electron-tabs or maybe look into this one https://github.com/hulufei/electron-as-browser modify a bit, remove address bar and use it.

Electron alternative
I mean browser tabs. I used this https://github.com/hulufei/electron-as-browser just converted it to vue it kind of works now but it took a while and I still working on tabs ui so it would work like chrome with drag rearrange then figure out how to persist them after shutdown.
