To point out the bleeding obvious, it's not necessarily about the subject matter changing, but the technical environment. Systems change, libraries change with them, leading to potential compilation issues amongst other things.
A quick search on Github reveals troglobit/netcalc[1] as maintained clone of sipcalc.

I have managed to get Split Tunneling working for WireGuard on windows using this method from this website. I didn't want to use the binding method that was mentioned on the website. Instead I used 3proxy to create a local socks5 on my machine and let other programs.
