Getting the initial data into Netbox is definitely a challenge. There's a few ways to automate this like discovery scripts. This is one example but there's quite a few out there - https://github.com/drygdryg/netbox-device-autodiscovery.

Modeling Accedian Devices
For adding the physical devices themselves, feel free to submit a PR to the devicetype-library if they do not already exist and you would like to contribute to the NetBox Community. This repository is a collection of community-defined DeviceType definitions for importing into NetBox. They are community and manufacturer created sources of truth to make importing the base models easy for everyone.

How to sort IP addresses with Excel?
And even then i don't create any devices, like the cheap and lazy admin that i am i just go to the Netbox device type library, search for Juniper and get the template out of there. Import YAML in 5 seconds and i can continue with my new device.

Code for new device missing
If the KVM you are looking for is not already the devicetype-library, then this is a simple way to become a NetBox Community Contributor; if that is something you are interested in! The process is easy: 1) fork the repository to your personal account, 2) create any devices/modules you need and commit them to your fork (utilize the readme and contributing guide for best practices), 3) Once your code is committed, create a Pull Request (PR) against the master branch of the NetBox Community devicetype-library, then 4) a maintainer (most likely myself lol) will review your addition and request any changes to ensure standards are kept, and last but not least, 5) the maintainer will merge the data! After step 5 your code will be officially available for all NetBox users to utilize!

Another useful link is the Netbox Community Device Library. This has device templates for lots of different kit to save you having to build all the device templates yourself. If you do make your own templates, set the interface names to be exactly how it is written on the device. This doesn't matter until you start trying to automate things, and then nothing works because all the interface names don't match!
