  • Getting NEAR tokens off Ledger
    1 project | /r/nearprotocol | 11 Nov 2023
Here is why I am sending my NEAR from Ledger to my near wallet. Message in wallet.near.org: "As of January 1st, 2024 the NEAR wallet will be discontinued. No changes will be made to your account or its assets. Use your recovery phrase or the Transfer Wizard to securely migrate to a different wallet." If you are unable to unstake your NEAR tokens on Ledger, exist Ledger and use wallet.near.org, with ledger; you will see your staked tokens and can unstake them and later send them to a non-ledger wallet. Why wait until January? I am disappointed with Ledger.

  • NEAR account on Ledger doesn't match my NEAR wallet address on wallet.near.org
    1 project | /r/ledgerwallet | 27 Feb 2023
Context: I've created a couple of NEAR accounts on wallet.near.org with my Ledger over the last couple of years. Recently when I opened my Ledger Live, I saw that they finally brought native support of NEAR which means that I could create a NEAR account directly from Ledger Live itself. I decided to create an account, seeing that I already created one on wallet.near.org, I figured it would be the same wallet address and my NEAR balance would be reflected on Ledger Live. Turns out, the account that was created has a new wallet address with a 0 NEAR balance. In fact, I tried looking at this newly generated wallet address on the explorer and the explorer can't seem to find it.
  • I can't connect my NEAR account to Ledger
    2 projects | /r/ledgerwallet | 23 Feb 2023
Yea, so I generally connect it to wallet.near.org but it's nice to finally have all my crypto consolidated on a single dashboard which is why I wanted to connect it on Ledger Live too. I did manage to connect it on Ledger - 2 wallets showed up and when I added them both, they both showed a balance of 0 which is not the case on wallet.near.org And the receive addresses being shown are a bunch of random alphanumerics instead of the human-readable addresses we have on wallet.near.org
