How we built Appflowy with Flutter and Rust
Your UI <--> Rust interface is astonishingly similar to Turtl's (electron/cordova + rust shared lib). Basically set up eventing and request/response channels and then you don't have to define every single op in your FFI.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing native_db and core-rs you can also consider the following projects:
rust_kanban - A kanban board for the terminal built with ❤️ in Rust
AppFlowy - AppFlowy is an open-source alternative to Notion. You are in charge of your data and customizations. Built with Flutter and Rust.
purplecoin - Purplecoin/XPU Core integration/staging tree
cli - The CLI Application of Gitignored. Provide A Faster Way to Generate .gitignore File via Caching
core - Reference implementation of the Stamp protocol in Rust
inox2d - Native Rust reimplementation of Inochi2D
tes3
core - Core datastructures, logic, and algorithms for the Basis system. Doesn't deal with storage, blockchains, etc.
redb - An embedded key-value database in pure Rust
