natbot VS gpt-google

I've started thinking about LLMs as a "universal coupling", if that makes sense? It's wild to be able to conceive of APIs to plain text, and natural language queries on structured APIs, but that's what we've got.

My mind was really opened by Nat Friedman's work in GPT for browser automation: https://github.com/nat/natbot

And of course using langchain/ReACT.

So different from ChatGPT and (imo) way more intriguing.

I was inspired by Nat Friedman's natbot project, and decided to make a Chrome extension to do the same thing. You give it an instruction, and it will try to complete the task using commands issued by the OpenAI API.

MULTI.ON is a chrome extension that automates your browsing and acts as your AI assistant.

It can help you with finding any content on the web, ordering food on doordash, shopping on amazon, post on social media like Twitter, Linkedin & Messenger, fill out any forms, give shopping opinions. Basically any task you can imagine.

You just input your goal and it controls the browser to achieve it. We didn't tune it for any specific task so your imagination is the limit of what it can do. And it generalizes to tasks much better than we expected!

It was inspired by https://github.com/nat/natbot/blob/main/natbot.py. We made it into an extension, switched to ChatGPT and improved prompting and parsing significantly.

Decided to share Natbot here as I saw no discussions ever happened on HN about it!

I spent the morning hacking with it to stop browsing when it finds an answer and managed to get a little Slack bot that qualifies our new sign-ups out of it! (see: https://github.com/ferrucc-io/gpt-google)

I think if more people get their eyes on this project we'll start seeing 10x better versions of this
