Developers: How to start working on custom window decorations?
Hi there! I really love the hello theme. It adds very elegant MacOS style buttons and has various customization options, one of which is setting the titlebar color per application.
-
What is this window decoration?
I'll probably not fork after all it as it seems to fit my needs if hello does not.
-
Do you have a theme suggestion?
It's discontinued sadly, but I love the Hello theme; I actually just use the plasma theme and the window decoration.

I installed a window decoration to make the window edges smoother and more rounded, if you look closely you can see the borders of the screen, I tried playing with the compositor in the settings and the only option that looks good is XRender, but that renders animations and blur wrong. What to do?
Take a look at this project, it's currently abandoned with the last pull done about a month ago to fix some minor issues, but this theme does the corners correctly without producing the blurred corner(except on konsole, since it does blur a bit independently) revising this could we should be able to find the way to properly implement proper blurring with rounded corners. Edit: forgot link ... https://github.com/n4n0GH/hello

Windows decorations, how to make rounded corners?
I don't think it's possible to round the bottom corners with KDecoration but there is a KWin effect called ShapeCorners that will round the corners of borderless windows. There is a fork which can also draw a thin translucent border inside the window called LightlyShaders

Help installing a plasma extension
Hi! I want to install the LightlyShaders kwin effect on my laptop. This seems to be a complex effect that I need to compile instead of just go to the "Install new effects" button. I followed the compiling instructions (using nix-shell to get all the dependencies) but the effect doesn't appear on the configuration window. I think this is related to how nixos directory tree works. So, any idea of how I can install this? Thanks!

Removing this window boarder
I tried installing Lightlyshaders curved window border. But it didn't turn out like the pictures. Was wondering if there is a way to remove the rectangular box the window seems to have so I can have nice-looking curved windows. I looked everywhere and didn't see a solution maybe I was using the wrong search terms.
