Mumble working in the background on the Quest!
The ideal app would be Discord since it is easier to make servers and everybody already uses it, but the best I could get out of it in-game was half a second of audio whenever you pressed the Oculus Home button. However, you could use a Mumble-Discord bridge if you have a VPS and know how to set it up to be able to communicate with others on Discord (Or use Voicemeeter on a PC to bridge the audio between the Mumble and Discord apps like I currently am).

Mumble-Discord-Bridge: A Go bot to bridge audio between Mumble and Discord.
I really enjoyed building this bot in Go! When I initially considered building this bot I looked at libraries in several languages and the Go libraries looked the most approachable/functional. The libraries that made this possible are really great, [discordgo](https://github.com/bwmarrin/discordgo) and [gumble](https://github.com/layeh/gumble).

I am the author of the Mumble library[1] used in OP's project. I've also contributed directly to the Mumble project a bit in the past.
It has been several years since I shut down my personal Mumble server. One of the reasons being that lots of my friends were using Discord and found opening Mumble an annoyance (being connected to multiple Mumble servers at once is not well supported, but being in multiple Discord "servers" is very common). The Mumble client also had a poor UX.
It would be great if Mumble had a web interface, support for multiple servers, and a better text chat interface, but I think it's too little too late to convince regular users to use Mumble.
