mpv-install VS ADB-and-FastbootPlusPlus

MPV is minimal interface for maximal play-ability. VLC is just good for what it was intended for; streaming video. Not to say VLC is all bad since it actually does feature a UI that makes it usable for boomers in a court scenario. Like I remember VLC always having weird visual glitches from time to time. MPV doesn't have a regular installation like you would expect with any normal program. You'd need to put it into /program files and use the https://github.com/rossy/mpv-install/blob/master/README.md .bat script to automatically set all your defaults.

rossy's original "mpv-install.bat" needs to be executed the way you describe, i.e. located besides the "mpv.exe" binary, but shinchiro's "mpv-install.bat" copy needs to be run in accordance to directory structure as found in the .7z and as shown above.

i assume you are on windows? there is a file called install.bat on the folder your mpv.exe file is, run that with the administrator privilege and it should set it up correctly, if your mpv archive file didn't have this you can also check this repo that might work for you

What I'm really wondering here is if I fucked up the tutorial, downloaded the wrong files from some wrong website or whatever went wrong and what I should do next. I also saw a zip-file on the github to download mpv. I also may have downloaded that one.

Have the ADB drivers installed. Here is the link to download them. During installation, make sure to enable the "Add to System Path Environment" option. Here you have more information about ADB drivers.

1) Install ADB & ADB Universal Drivers on the PC (Restart might be required) : https://github.com/K3V1991/ADB-and-FastbootPlusPlus/releases 2) Enable USB Debugging on the RP2+: Settings > System > About RP2+ > Tap on the Build number x5 times > Back to System > Developer Options > USB Debugging 3) Connect the RP2+ to the PC 4) On the PC, launch ADB + Fastboot++ & type the command "adb devices" (without quotes) 5) On the RP2+, select "Always Allow from this computer" & "Allow" 6) On the PC, now type "adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.baidu.ota" (without quotes) & press enter 7) That's it, no more OTA / OTA notifications.

If you are also going to install from the PC, you must download and install ADB tools, such as ADB & Fastboot++.

Also, for easy to install & up to date ADB & Fastboot++ from GitHub: Offers portable and/or regular installations, with an option to add it to system path variable so you don't have to provide full file path for it.
