moonlight-tv VS webos-homebrew-channel

Technically, the LG C2 should be more than capable of 4K and 120 Hz, as the free Moonlight client (https://github.com/mariotaku/moonlight-tv) shows. When and if the WebOS GFN client will be updated to offer the full experience is anyones guess unfortunately.

I am using moonlight on my LG C8 and the surround sound does not work for me, I only get stereo. Check out this github issue for background info. YMMV of course but I would not get my hopes up

I did it from my PC using WebOS after activating developper mode. It is all explained here : Moonlight on LG TVs

You can sideload https://github.com/mariotaku/moonlight-tv onto the TV, and use Nvidia Game Streaming to stream your desktop to the TV directly through the TVs apps. It works great, can do 4k + HDR + controller passthrough and has low latency over wired ethernet. It's similar to using an Nvidia Shield, but won't cost you anything.

It's this version of Moonlight which I installed using this.

https://github.com/RootMyTV/RootMyTV.github.io allows to installation of https://github.com/webosbrew/webos-homebrew-channel but your TV may have been patched by LG already and RootMyTv won't work.

Mainly the adfree YouTube client (works for adfree casting too) that's available in the Homebrew Channel.

Pihole won't do that for you. You should've added the brand of your TV to get helpful information. For LG I use this: https://github.com/webosbrew/webos-homebrew-channel

You can try using the unofficial Crunchyroll app in WebOSbrew

LG webos can be rooted to install homebrew channel (an alternative app store), then install youtube-webos from homebrew.
