afaik, no one is proposing a "reset" of any tokens. and the $SBCH treasury has already been "hard-forked" to prevent any future transactions from CoinFLEX.

So why not just clone Etherscan or the many other EVM explorers full of robust features? Answer: They're NOT opensource. Here is an issue (https://github.com/smartbch/smartbch/issues/44) that best explains it.

This sounds like an assumption on your part. The code is open source https://github.com/smartbch/smartbch so you can analyse it yourself or contact the smartBCH team directly if you feel you need more information on this.

Their promised decentralized bridge, SHA-Gate, hasn't gotten any updates since almost a year ago. Pretty much an abandoned project.

The decentralized bridge that was promised a long time ago, SHA-Gate, is basically non-existent, and the github repo of the project hasn't received any updates in 7 months.

Note that the SmartBCH bridge is fully centralized now as you need to use the CoinFlex exchange to use it, and the decentralized version, SHA-gate is basically not being developed at the moment. Just have a look at the activity of it
