mockintosh VS Tornado

Mockintosh is a mock server generator that's capable to generate RESTful APIs or communicate with message queues to mimick asyncronous tasks. Such that it enables software development teams to work independently while building and maintaining a complicated microservice architecture.

Recently I stumbled upon Mockintosh repo in GitHub from my LinkedIn feed. Then I started exploring on my own, for couple days by going through the documentation and the code. This blog article will deep-dive into Mockintosh, how you can get started, how it will be useful from performance testing perspective and more.

I am not expert in these but I thought Tornado's ioloop was readable enough for me to learn more event loops. Mostly, it was being implemented in pure Python.

I am a bit confused, Tornado is web server like a apache http server, or a framework like django, or both?

I'm writing a Node app that talks to a server that uses Tornado, a Python networking framework. The server uses WebSocket and structured JSON to expose RPCs, like sign_on called with the following message:
