using MindAR (JS library) in an automated project and need help for "target images"
I'm working on a project and I need MindAR (link) as the main framework. I wrote some automation on HTML files we deliver to our customers, but as you may know, MindAR requires some sort of compilation on the target images (the compiler is here).

You could try mind-ar https://github.com/hiukim/mind-ar-js it's got face tracking built-in, is browser-based and you can build the 3d stuff with Aframe https://aframe.io/ it's pretty easy if you know HTML/javascript.

Happy to share my open-sourced web AR coloring project. Repo: https://github.com/akbartus/WebAR-Coloring Demo: https://webarcoloring-component.glitch.me (there are more demos which could be accessed through repo). Please note: in the examples texture is applied only to one part of 3D model. If needed texture could be applied to the whole model (just need to do more texture mapping).
