Mirror issues with reflector or Arch as a whole?
Could you guys please check whether https://github.com/westandskif/rate-mirrors works for you? (without any country options)

Arch hasnt been updated in two days and pacman isnt getting any new updates. does anyone know what could cause this problem?
Try refreshing the mirror list. Either mirrors haven't synced with root ones for a while or there is no updates for real. Reflector may help, but I prefer my own tool (obviously), as it doesn't require country specific options - https://github.com/westandskif/rate-mirrors

Am I killing Arch's mirrors?
check out https://github.com/westandskif/rate-mirrors tool, it doesn't need country specific arguments to rate mirrors
