Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Show HN: I made a library for dynamic stack strings in C
I've been playing with this arena bump allocator.
https://github.com/gilzoide/c-allocators
I've been using it with an event driven code where after an event is fired off and returns the handler just hard resets the arena.
You could probably use something like that as well.
Either way I support not mixing manual memory management with business logic.

What are some alternatives?
Hoard - The Hoard Memory Allocator: A Fast, Scalable, and Memory-efficient Malloc for Linux, Windows, and Mac.
mojoAL - An SDL2-based implementation of OpenAL in a single C file.
memory - STL compatible C++ memory allocator library using a new RawAllocator concept that is similar to an Allocator but easier to use and write.
allocator - Customisable, thread-safe C11 memory allocator based off the K&R "storage allocator"
rmm - RAPIDS Memory Manager
Memory-Allocators - A set of custom memory allocators
pega-texto - Single-file Parsing Expression Grammars (PEG) runtime engine for C
mlaas - Simply the best way to instill a sense of urgency within your engineering team.
ctl - My variant of the C Template Library
hardened_malloc - Hardened allocator designed for modern systems. It has integration into Android's Bionic libc and can be used externally with musl and glibc as a dynamic library for use on other Linux-based platforms. It will gain more portability / integration over time.
