  • I created a tts-generator gui with praw and pysimplegui
    1 project | /r/Python | 23 Nov 2021
Hi, am new to this sub (and reddit) so bear with me, This past week I have been working on a gui program which takes in a post id (eg `r0q7qa`, `r0awhn`) , and allows you to either create tts-videos of the POST, where the tts-engine reads through the post, and slices longer posts into several frames (apt for a sub like `entitledparents` or `nosleep`) or create videos of COMMENTS where the tts reads individual comments (apt for a sub like `askreddit`). It is super easy to setup, all you need to do is just install the dependencies, and run the `main.py` which will give you a link, opening which, you will be prompted to allow "post__scraper" to access you account (dont worry, its readonly) then it will write the credentials to a file (so that the server is not pinged everytime) and DONE! now all you need to do, it put in the id and click on either of the buttons. Here is the link to the github, feel free to check it out or raise issues
