FWIW you might be able to enjoy the Fediverse via a Friendica server (which also interacts with Twitter) if your desktop twitter client isn't hardwired, though likelier to find desktop client/s that suits down amongst joinmastodon.org/apps or just using web-interface. Best wishes anyway

It does have an app. See https://joinmastodon.org/apps for not only the official app, but also literally dozens of third-party apps.

In the meantime, you could try a third party app such as Fedilab or Tusky.

You're right, the official app is not very mature. There are four other Android apps listed at https://joinmastodon.org/apps. You may like one of those better.

To me it's not very clear whether those terms practically apply only to their app, since clearly they can't grab logs from Aurora if Aurora doesn't dump those logs for example... but if this is something the F-Droid team should look into, open an issue on https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/issues or inquire in one of their official channels on OFTC (#fdroid) or Matrix (#fdroid:f-droid.org).

I thought it was done and it would be on F-droid after a day or two. Well, it didn't. Even though I've been through the whole thing, I really don't know what the problem is right now. (You can see the full merge request discussion here.

Popular repos still get caught in supply chain attacks e.g. F-Droid's Nextcloud... and RVX is a targeted because apparently people install the first thing they find. Custom key import is being committed right now & is better from an APSM perspective, but compiling and signing manager preferable too if not patching directly from cli for the least attack surface.

Even if you don't know what Gitlab is and that it's the site F-Droid uses rather that Github or other similar but more proprietary stuff, googling "f-droid issues" immediately brings you here where it tells you where to go for app data issues, and if the Github page was archived, aside from the Avast warning, you should probably make an issue just to mention that newer source code will not be available, and then discuss whether there is really a vulnerability in the app and whether it should be flagged, or the app removed entirely, or what.
