Consider the PSVITA if you're looking for a great handheld for retrogaming.

If you go to the github project here, in the page of enhancements, there's no patch for draw distance (at the moment). If someone is able to do that most probably a file .patch will appear in that folder. That folder contains patches one can apply while building the vpk, in the link I posted there's a version I compiled with the said two patches. Try it if you didn't already, as puppycam is a great improvement for the camera. I see what you mean with aiming, but personally I only had to point a little higher while in the cannon. Regarding drawing distance and view, pressing L enlarges the view (I like the furthest)
