Is it somehow possible to get the old Windows 2000 login prompt back?
But if you're REALLY dead set on having that login screen, you could still either use Windows 2000 or a Linux distro with a custom greeter style. Somebody made it look like Windows XP already so clearly not impossible! https://github.com/mshernandez5/WelcomeXP

- Made Linux Mint look like Windows XP, because my Lenovo IdeaPad L340 is too new for XP.

My Arch install is in incognito mode ;) So glad I have been able to get Fusion 360 running well in wine!!!
