libratbag VS ssr

the reason is the c547 receiver is not supported by the kernel. issue tracked here and here

On the Piper github page, it lists the G502 X in this device list, but it isn't listed in this device list, so I don't know if it's actually supported. Has anyone been able to get it working?

I found something on github, but I do not really understand if this works, or how it would work

Hi, I'm running Piper on a Ubuntu 20.04 like system. I have a Logitech G502 mouse and G915 keyboard. Both are afaik among the supported devices. The mouse gets recognized

I also have a G502 hero which can be customized by ratbag/piper. You can create profiles, but I don't think it's possible to autoswap them. Also it might be just me but I also had troubles with setting up the buttons the way I wanted and even today I don't use all the buttons available because of that.

If OBS is too complicated for you, try SimpleScreenRecorder.

Finally, SimpleScreenRecorder doesn't work on Wayland, which is a hard deal breaker.

SSR is really easy and works well for me.

No. They just use those functions I mentioned earlier. Here is the code in SimpleScreenRecorder, for instance.
